Students lead their specific research projects and are supported in a number of ways, including:
Supervision framework – a research-active Director of Studies with a supervisory team of experts in relevant fields of research. Regular meetings, guidance and progression reviews. Each student is allocated their own workspace.
An open door culture – ³ΙΘΛ΅ηΣ° open door culture enables students to seek support and guidance from their supervisors as well as other ³ΙΘΛ΅ηΣ° researchers and support staff.
ICT support – ³ΙΘΛ΅ηΣ° has a dedicated team of ICT specialists on campus who can advise on any specialised computing requirements as well as managing day-to-day computing needs.

All PGR students are issued with a student support handbook covering local and online support services.
Research seminars – The ³ΙΘΛ΅ηΣ° seminar series runs throughout the year, welcoming expert speakers on a wide range of research topics and the PGR Community are encouraged to participate as well as attend.
Networking – students are encouraged to join relevant networks, such as Ocean Systems, Dynamic Coasts, Blue Economy or research clusters such as M,ESE (link to ).
